Putin Reveals Documents to Be Signed with Xi Jinping: Important Statements from the Presidents
Putin has clarified the documents that are expected to be signed during negotiations with Xi Jinping. These include:
"Joint statements on the deepening of Russian-Chinese relations entering a new era of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation. Also, joint statements regarding the development program in key areas of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation until 2030."
We have also highlighted Putin's main statements during the informal meeting with Xi Jinping at the Kremlin:
- Moscow is carefully studying Beijing's plan for resolving the situation in Ukraine, and there will be time to discuss it.
- The Russian Federation is always open to the negotiation process.
- China has made significant progress in the past decade in developing relations with Russia, with trade doubling. The countries have numerous common problems and goals.
- Relations between Moscow and Beijing contribute to strengthening multipolarity.
The President also congratulated Xi Jinping on his re-election as President of the People’s Republic of China. Xi, in turn, referred to Putin as a close friend and added:
- The Chinese side pays great attention to the development of bilateral relations; they have historical logic.
- Russia has made significant progress in terms of prosperity, and I am confident that the Russian people will support Putin in the presidential elections.
