Mbappé Named New Captain of the French National Team

The coaching staff of the French national team has decided who will be the new captain of the national team. According to L’Equipe, the forward Kylian Mbappé has been chosen for the role. He succeeds Hugo Lloris, who concluded his international career following the World Cup held in Qatar.

Mbappé has played 66 matches for the French national team, scoring 36 goals and providing 23 assists. In 2018, he was part of the victorious team at the World Cup held in Russia.

On March 24, the French national team will host the Netherlands in the first round of the European Championship 2024 qualifying tournament.
