An unofficial meeting has begun between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the Kremlin. The leaders are conversing in a face-to-face format at a representation in the first building of the Kremlin.

It was previously reported that Chinese leader Xi Jinping has begun his official visit to Russia, with his plane landing at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport. The visit is set to last until March 22.

According to the Kremlin, during negotiations with President Vladimir Putin, issues regarding the further development of "comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation" between Russia and China will be discussed. Additionally, joint documents are expected to be signed.
