Mariam Mkrtchyan Celebrates Second Victory in European Championship
The Armenian chess players continue their fight in the Women's Individual Championship of Europe. According to 'Armenpress', the second round matches took place in the town of Petrovac, Montenegro. Mariam Mkrtchyan has celebrated her second consecutive victory. Elina Danielyan and Anna Sargsyan have also won their matches. Lilit Mkrtchyan shared one point, while Susanna Gaboyan and Polina Kobak suffered losses.
The Women's Individual Chess Championship of Europe is being held in Montenegro and will conclude on March 29. A total of 140 chess players from 34 European countries are participating in the tournament, which is organized in a Swiss format. The total prize fund amounts to €60,000, with the first-place player receiving €10,000.
