We Will Arrest President Putin If He Enters Our Territory, Says German Justice Minister
Russian President Vladimir Putin will be arrested if he visits Germany, according to German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann, as reported by the German publication Die Zeit.
“I expect that the International Criminal Court will quickly establish contact with Interpol, as well as with states, and will ask them to fulfill the request. Germany would have to arrest President Putin when he enters German territory and hand him over to the International Criminal Court,” the minister stated.
It is noteworthy that recently, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued international arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and for Maria Lvova-Belova, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights. The International Criminal Court clarifies that Putin and Lvova-Belova are suspected of the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children.
