Russian Special Forces Conduct Planned Exercises in Armenia

The Russian special forces unit of the Southern Military District has conducted planned exercises in Armenia to counteract enemy diversionary groups. This information was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.

According to reports, the exercises simulated a scenario in which a conditional enemy diversionary and reconnaissance group attempted to attack a military formation's checkpoint.

The special forces personnel eliminated the 'enemy' forces using standard weaponry, simulation devices, and blank ammunition.

During the exercise, servicemen performed area inspections using specialized equipment and technology for detecting explosives. Canine units were also involved in the activities.

At the conclusion of the exercise, the special forces practiced hand-to-hand combat techniques, vehicle operations, and actions in response to the use of toxic substances by the 'enemy,' all while adhering to personal protective equipment protocols.
