Prosecutor's Office Demands Confiscation of 59 Properties from Hovik Abrahamyan's Family
The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted its 30th and 31st claims regarding the confiscation of illegally obtained property.
With one claim, the Prosecutor General's Office's department for confiscation of illegally obtained property has presented a request to the court to seize from G.V., a shareholder of the subcontractor company 'Poly-Transport' affiliated with the Spanish company 'Corsan Corviam Construcción,' which is a contractor for the 'North-South Road Corridor' project, in favor of the Republic of Armenia a residential building located on N. Shnorhali Street in the Vahagni district of the Ajapnyak community in Yerevan, 2 vehicles, and shares in 3 legal entities. If it is not possible to seize these properties, their average market value should be provided, totaling over 163 million drams, including 33 million drams as the sum of unlawfully obtained income and money transferred to third parties on behalf of G.V. that cannot be substantiated with legal income.
In the other claim, the Prosecutor General's Office demands the confiscation in favor of the Republic of Armenia of 59 properties from H.A., the former Minister of Territorial Administration, former Speaker of the National Assembly, and former Prime Minister, along with his wife, J.A., their son, daughters, and related individuals (employees, relatives, and their spouses). Out of the 59 properties, 15 are located in Yerevan, mainly in the Kentron administrative district, 12 in the Mkhchyan community of Ararat Province, 10 in the Narek community, 2 in the Kotayk Province in the Arzakan community, 6 in the Kotayk Province in the Tsaghkadzor community, 1 in Vayots Dzor Province in the Jermuk community, 1 in the Gegharkunik Province in the Sevan community, 6 in the Tavush Province in the Dilijan community, 3 in the Kotayk Province in the Meghradzor community, 1 in the Ararat Province in the Marmarashen community, and 1 in the Ararat Province in the Ayntap community, and 1 in the Ararat Province in the Arevabuyr community.
Additionally, 4 vehicles, shares and stakes in 20 companies, and market values of 9 properties that were significantly undervalued during sales amounting to a total of 1 billion 628 million 277 thousand 90 drams will be confiscated. Rights to claims arising from loans provided to companies amounting to 11 million 292 thousand 570 US dollars, 687 million 500 drams, and 3 million 117 thousand 680 euros. Furthermore, 21 billion 202 million 67 thousand 797 drams is demanded as the sum of unlawfully obtained income and money transferred to third parties that cannot be substantiated with legal income.
