US Allies Reluctant to Share Ammunition with Ukraine
US allies are unwilling to share ammunition with Ukraine, prompting Washington to send shells from its own stockpiles to Kyiv. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
The ammunition is being sourced from US military facilities in Israel, South Korea, Germany, and Kuwait. According to the publication, Seoul is particularly hesitant to provide armaments to Kyiv, having limited its assistance to the shipment of 200,000 shells.
Furthermore, the report indicates that India is also unwilling to supply ammunition. It notes that during a recent visit to the Middle East, the Pentagon chief requested supplies from Egypt, but Cairo responded negatively.
