Torosyan on the Potential Revocation of His Immunity and Resigning His Mandate
“The Prosecutor General’s Office is not going to enter the parliament to revoke my immunity. If I and the current Minister of Health are summoned for questioning, this case will completely collapse,” said former Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly, commenting on the actions of law enforcement regarding the embezzled funds during the COVID-19 pandemic.
When asked about media reports suggesting that in order for the prosecutor's office not to come to parliament, he is willing to resign his mandate, Torosyan noted, “Perhaps according to false publications? No, I am not planning to resign my mandate, there are no grounds for that.”
