The West Has Started World War III through Zelensky and Terrorists in Syria: Bashar Assad

The Western countries have initiated World War III, which is orchestrated by Nazists in Ukraine under the leadership of Zelensky and by terrorists in Syria, said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to RIA Novosti.

"I believe that World War III is ongoing... Currently, this situation exists; however, due to modern weapons, especially nuclear weapons, there are deterrents against traditional warfare, thus wars are shifting towards proxy conflicts," the Syrian leader stated.

According to President Assad, Zelensky is currently waging war on behalf of the West with his Nazi army. "The terrorists are the same; the army that operates on behalf of the West in Syria and other regions consists of terrorists," emphasized the Syrian president.

Earlier, the Syrian leader announced that Damascus recognizes Russia's new borders in areas that have been annexed through referendum results, namely the DPR, LPR, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. "I say that these are Russian territories, and even if there were no conflict, they are historically Russian territories," Assad stated.

"Syria's position is clear and at the same time decisive; we are convinced of this issue—not only in favor of friendship with Russia but also because these territories are Russian territories," the Syrian leader emphasized.
