Infantino Re-elected as FIFA President

At the 73rd Congress of the International Football Federation (FIFA) taking place in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, Swiss Gianni Infantino has been re-elected as the organization's president, according to fifa.com. He was the only candidate and will continue to serve until 2027.

Infantino has led FIFA since 2016 and was re-elected in 2019. The previous president of FIFA was Swiss Sepp Blatter, who was removed from office in 2015 due to a corruption scandal and banned from participating in football-related activities.
