Shoygu Held Phone Conversation with U.S. Secretary of Defense

The Russian Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoygu, held a phone conversation with his American counterpart, Lloyd Austin, initiated by the U.S. side. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday.

“On March 15, 2023, phone conversations took place between the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergey Shoygu, and the Secretary of Defense of the United States, Lloyd Austin, at the initiative of the American side,” the ministry stated.

Earlier, it had been revealed that the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu had negotiations with the Syrian Minister of Defense, Ali Mahmoud Abbas.
