Armenia Not Interested in Peace Agreement, Says Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry

“Armenia is not interested in a peace agreement because it opposes the provisions in the agreement text that exclude territorial claims against Azerbaijan,” stated Aikhan Hajizadeh, who also accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of negligence.

The spokesperson for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aikhan Hajizadeh, responded to the statements made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan yesterday.

“The fact that the Prime Minister of Armenia announces during a press conference that he is ready to sign the draft {peace agreement}, which only mentions Armenia's proposals and does not take Azerbaijan's proposals into account, is further evidence of his indifference to the peace process,” insisted the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

Hajizadeh called on the international community to condemn and prevent “Armenia's destructive actions.”
