Aliyev Arrives in Turkey: Discussion with Erdogan Revealed

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Turkey to participate in the extraordinary summit of the Turkic States Organization leaders.

During their meeting, Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey discussed the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

"During the meeting in Ankara, Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan exchanged views on the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan and the negotiation process regarding the peace treaty," the statement said.

During the meeting, Erdogan emphasized that the initiative to hold the summit of the Turkic States Organization (TSO) leaders in Turkey belongs to the Azerbaijani president and expressed gratitude for this initiative.
