Pashinyan Approves Ministry of Internal Affairs Charter
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has approved the charter of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its annex on March 14. The decision states: ‘To approve the charter of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with the annex. The provisions of the charter regarding population protection in emergencies, ensuring seismic safety, technical security, and material reserves will come into force on the first day of the fourth month following the entry into force of this charter. The provisions concerning the issuance of licenses, organization, and execution of dangerous cargo transports will also take effect on the same date. The provisions related to the disciplinary relations of the officers of the Police of the Republic of Armenia and the operational-investigative functions carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs will enter into force from the day the charter of the internal security and anti-corruption department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs comes into force. Regarding the functions of the supportive subdivisions under the state bodies subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the provisions will become effective on the day the legal act regarding the cessation of the activities of those subdivisions in the Police, Rescue Service, Migration, and Citizenship Service comes into force,’ the decision reads.
