«If a person has committed a crime, they will be punished in our country» - Grigor Minasyan
The Minister of Justice, Grigor Minasyan, discussed the criminal case involving Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Gevorg Simonyan and ten others in a conversation with journalists, stating that the criminal proceedings initiated during the pandemic due to instances of abuse confirm that there are no favorites or individuals with special guarantees in Armenia.
“This is the fight against corruption, where there are no favorites, and there are no guarantees for people from the political team or officials. I am pleased that such discussions are taking place; with such criminal proceedings, the entire state apparatus and community employees understand that there is an uncompromising fight against corruption. If a person has committed a crime, they will be punished in our country,” said Minasyan, emphasizing that the fight against corruption is the brand of this government.
