U.S. Ambassador Visits the Start of the Lachin Corridor in Armenia

The U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, Kristina Quinn, visited the start of the Lachin Corridor, which has been closed for normal traffic for nearly three months. This was reported by the U.S. Embassy in Armenia.

Syunik Regional Governor Robert Ghukasyan presented Ambassador Quinn with the consequences of the blockade of the Lachin Corridor and its impact on hundreds of fragmented families. The governor also addressed the support provided by the government to those affected by the blockade.

Ambassador Quinn reiterated Secretary of State Blinken’s call for the immediate reopening of the Lachin Corridor. Azerbaijan must ensure the free movement of people, goods, and vehicles through the Lachin Corridor, yet it continues to keep the corridor closed.
