Kremlin Comments on Russia's Involvement in Events in Georgia
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the foreign agents law in Georgia has no connection to Russia. He added that the bill was initiated by the Georgian authorities themselves.
Furthermore, Peskov noted that some individuals are deliberately trying to add "anti-Russian elements" to the current situation, and the Kremlin is closely and anxiously monitoring these provocations. He also mentioned that, given the situation in Georgia, there are certainly risks of provocations against Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Earlier, it was reported that the Georgian Parliament suspended the discussion of the foreign agents law. One legislator voted in favor, while 35 voted against, and 58 abstained.
