Government Approves Draft Law on Ratifying Visa-Free Travel Agreement for Citizens of Armenia and Georgia

The Armenian government has today approved the draft law on ratifying the agreement on mutual visa-free travel for citizens of Armenia and Georgia, signed on January 12, 2023.

It is noteworthy that on January 12, 2023, the government also approved the proposal to sign the agreement on visa-free travel between Armenia and Georgia.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that building special relations with Georgia is a priority. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan further elaborated that citizens of Armenia and Georgia can now cross the border using only identification cards, without the need for passports.
