Food Crisis in Artsakh: People Forced to Queue for Hours in Cold Conditions, Says Artsakh Ombudsman to Brazilian Estadão

The Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, presented the humanitarian situation in Artsakh due to the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan to the Brazilian news outlet Estadão. According to Armenpress, Stepanyan emphasized that daily life for those living in Artsakh is a constant struggle.

“Every day, people must adjust their routines to the schedule of power outages to plan their day accordingly. Finding food or any other essential goods has become a significant challenge. The food crisis has hit Artsakh directly, forcing people to stand in line for hours in cold conditions to receive a severely limited quantity of food supplies provided by the government through coupons,” Stepanyan noted.
