Earthquake Occurs in Russia

A new earthquake has occurred in Russia. Tremors with a magnitude of 6.1 have been recorded in the south of Kamchatka. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a message from the regional department of the geophysical service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

According to available data, the epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean, at the southern tip of the peninsula, 340 km away from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 58.8 kilometers.

Local residents reported feeling two tremors, with the second being stronger, causing chandeliers to sway in their homes.
