Azerbaijan Attempts to Distract International Attention from the March 5 Terrorist Attack: Artsakh's Foreign Ministry
The Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement regarding the message from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense.
"On March 7, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense disseminated a message claiming that on the same day, a column of military equipment from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia passed through the Stepanakert-Lisagor road, escorted by Russian peacekeepers. In this regard, it is necessary to emphasize that the information spread by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense does not correspond to reality and is yet another falsehood aimed at misleading the international community by the Azerbaijani side.
Azerbaijani authorities have previously spread similar disinformation regarding the alleged transportation of mines from Armenia to Artsakh; however, on February 22, the International Court of Justice categorically rejected this falsehood.
At the same time, it is evident that Azerbaijani authorities are attempting to divert international attention from the terrorist actions perpetrated by the Azerbaijani armed forces on March 5, the ongoing terror and ethnic cleansing policies against the people of Artsakh, as well as to prepare the ground for possible new provocations.
