French Foreign Ministry on Azerbaijani Diversion in Artsakh
The French Foreign Ministry has addressed the diversion carried out by Azerbaijani armed forces in Artsakh on March 5.
"We are saddened by the casualties resulting from this serious incident on March 5, during which a vehicle transporting police personnel near the Lachin Corridor was attacked by Azerbaijani forces in the area of responsibility of Russian peacekeeping forces. This incident must be investigated. We urge both parties to strictly adhere to the ceasefire," reads the statement from the French Foreign Ministry.
It is noteworthy that on March 5 around 10:00 AM, an Azerbaijani diversion group targeted and opened fire on the rotation vehicle of the Passport and Visa Department of the police in the area known as “Khajpaloo.” According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, as a result of the diversion penetration, three police officers were killed.
