Former Deputy Minister of Defense Artak Davtyan Has Passed Away
Former Deputy Minister of Defense and former member of the National Assembly, Artak Davtyan, has passed away. This was reported by the former Deputy Minister of Defense and former MP, Artak Zakaryan. “Rest in peace, dear friend,” Zakaryan wrote on his Facebook page.
Artak Davtyan was born in 1966 in the city of Kajaran. He was elected as an MP in 2007 through a proportional representation system on the electoral list of the Republic of Armenia. Davtyan was re-elected as an MP in 2012 on the Republican Party’s proportional list. On May 8, 2017, Artak Davtyan was appointed as Deputy Minister of Defense. He was relieved of his duties as Deputy Minister on May 8, 2018, at his own request.
