Aram Gabrelyanov Denied Entry to Armenia, Listed as Undesirable Person

Russian journalist and publisher, founder of the 'News Media' holding, Aram Gabrelyanov has been denied entry to Armenia. According to a source from Sputnik Armenia, he is on the list of undesirable persons.

“Upon arriving in Yerevan, he was asked to wait, and then they announced that there were issues with his passport. Ultimately, it was revealed that he is on the list of undesirable persons,” our source said.

Our information indicates that the journalist has already changed his ticket and plans to return to Russia on the next flight.

Gabrelyanov was coming to Yerevan to give a lecture as part of a course organized for journalists by Viktor Sogomonian, the former head of the office of the second President of Armenia.

It should be noted that Gabrelyanov has been sharply critical of the Armenian authorities and has accused them of anti-state positions. He regularly published information about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, his wife, and their entourage on his Telegram channel.

In October 2022, it became known that the Armenian government had barred Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of the 'Rossiya Segodnya' media group and the RT television channel, as well as Konstantin Zatulin, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma's Committee on CIS Affairs, from entering the country.
