VIDEO: They Manufactured a Covid Strain to Scare People - Leaked Messages from Former UK Health Minister
The Telegraph has obtained more than 100,000 WhatsApp messages from the former UK Health Secretary. The messages were passed to the publication by journalist Isabel Oakeshott, co-author of the "Pandemic Diaries," who had previously opposed pandemic-related restrictions. She stated that it was her duty as a journalist to publish this information, as the public interest outweighs mutual trust. According to her, the public deserves answers to many questions regarding recent years.
In the leaked messages, former minister Matt Hancock discussed with his assistant on December 13, 2020, when to announce the new coronavirus strain, the "Kent variant," which later became known as the "Alpha" variant, to ensure that there would be no opposition to lockdown measures. They expressed concern that the Mayor of London might oppose such a decision.
A public health advisor suggested that instead of too many warnings and calls to limit social interaction, they should simply announce the new strain. The messages included Hancock stating, "We will frighten everyone to death with the new strain," emphasizing that it would help achieve the desired changes in behavior. In response, the advisor noted, "When are we unleashing the new variant?" Hancock revealed the new strain the next day.
It is noted that the former minister also discussed the strain with other colleagues, talking about the psychological factor and discussing what kind of messages and words they should use publicly to psychologically influence the public and achieve the desired behavior and outcome.
The former UK health minister learned about the leak from the media. He tried to contact Isabel Oakeshott to understand her motive for taking such an action and whether it was directed. However, the journalist did not respond to him. The minister accused the journalist of “betrayal and breach of trust.”
“When I saw what she had done, I sent a message saying that it was a 'big mistake.' Nothing more,” said the former official, responding to reports that he threatened the journalist.
