Armenian Lieutenant Killed During Azerbaijani Saboteurs' Attack Was from Aknaqhbyur Village in Askeran
Ararat Gasparyan, a lieutenant of the Artsakh Republic Police, was killed during an Azerbaijani diversionary attack. He hailed from the village of Aknaqhbyur in the Askeran region of the Artsakh Republic. In 2020, the enemy occupied Ararat's hometown, according to News from Artsakh.
Born and raised in Shushi, Ararat completed his schooling there and lost his home in Shushi as well. He bore the name of his uncle, who was killed in the First Artsakh War at the age of 20. Ararat’s family resides in the capital, Stepanakert. He had an eight-month-old child.
