VIDEO: European Boxing Union Demands Removal of Russian Flag from Gassiev's Attire

Yesterday, a professional boxing evening took place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan, featuring a total of five bouts. In the main fight of the evening, Russian professional boxer Murad Gassiev, who has obtained Armenian citizenship and was born in Ossetia, competed against American Michael Balogun and secured a victory.

However, according to IZ.RU, the European Boxing Union (EBU) has demanded that the use of Russian symbols be excluded from the tournament taking place in Yerevan.

A video has been released showing Gassiev's team covering the Russian flag displayed on his attire. Interestingly, the Ossetian flag, which is also present on Gassiev’s outfit, has been left uncovered.
