Negotiations with Azerbaijan Can Only Take Place in an Internationally Recognized Format: Araik Harutyunyan

Negotiations with Azerbaijan can only take place in an internationally recognized format. This statement was made by the President of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, during a meeting with members of the Artsakh Reserve Officers' Union.

At the meeting, the country's leader, at the request of the participants, presented the military-political situation surrounding Artsakh and addressed the meeting that took place on March 1 with representatives of Azerbaijan, mediated by the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces deployed in Artsakh.

The President noted that all meetings held so far, including the one on March 1, have exclusively discussed technical, humanitarian issues, and matters related to infrastructure.

“Negotiations concerning the status of Artsakh can only occur in an internationally recognized format and through the realization of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination,” he emphasized, adding that the authorities of the Republic are committed to the fundamental documents and the provisions of the Constitution of Artsakh.

The President also addressed other questions of interest raised by the reserve officers.
