A Resident in Askeran Detonates Grenade and Commits Suicide

The Territorial Investigative Department of the Artsakh Investigative Committee has launched an investigation regarding an incident that occurred on March 3, 2023, at around 07:00. The case involves a resident of the Dahraq community in the Askeran district, identified as V.A., born in 1984, who committed suicide by detonating a hand grenade that he was illegally possessing.

The criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 109 and Part 1 of Article 245 of the Artsakh Criminal Code. Expert examinations have been appointed, as reported by the Artsakh Investigative Committee. Urgent investigative and procedural actions are being undertaken to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
