Driver of 'Hamer' Says He Will Represent His Interests

The 25-year-old driver of the 'Hamer' vehicle, Gegham Saradyan, who grossly violated traffic rules, remains in custody. Saradyan's interests have been represented by Shushan Harutyunyan from the Public Defender's office. In an interview with 'Hraparak', she stated that she no longer represents his interests: 'He has refused the defender and said that he will represent his own interests; he does not need a lawyer.'

It is worth recalling that on February 10, in the center of Yerevan, the driver of the 'Hamer' vehicle, having violated traffic rules, did not comply with the lawful demands of the police and drove towards law enforcement officers and civilians. To stop the vehicle, fire was opened towards the tires.
