Iran's Patience Runs Thin: Azerbaijani Research Center in Tabriz Shut Down

Iran's patience has run thin as the Azerbaijani Research Center in Tabriz has been shut down. This has been reported by Infoteka24.

The center states in its publication that authorities have exerted pressure on students, including expulsion and conducting unauthorized checks, among other actions. Two members of the center, Hadi Heydari Azad and Ibrahim Ahmadpour, were arrested on February 27.

It is noted that during the unrest that occurred in Iran in the last months of last year, Azerbaijani separatists were particularly active in the northwestern provinces. Pan-Turkists orchestrated riots and attacked law enforcement officers in the streets, with all their actions accompanied by anti-Iranian, separatist, and pan-Turkist slogans.
