Earthquake in Georgia Felt in Armenia
On March 1, at 14:52 local time (10:52 GMT), a seismic event was recorded by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations's seismic protection territorial service. The earthquake occurred at geographical coordinates 41.38° north latitude and 43.96° east longitude, 21 km northwest of the town of Dmanisi in Georgia, at a depth of 10 km and measured 4.0 in magnitude.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was rated at 5-6 points. The earthquake was felt in the Shirak and Lori regions with an intensity of 3-4 points and in the town of Noyemberyan in the Tavush region with an intensity of 2-3 points.
