Assault on On-Duty Doctor and Ambulance Driver at Kapan Hospital

On February 27, officers from the Kapan police department's criminal investigation unit received operational information regarding an incident that took place during the night of February 25 at the Kapan Medical Center. Relatives of a patient admitted for medical assistance were reported to have engaged in hooliganism in the hospital's reception area, assaulting the on-duty doctor and the ambulance driver, resulting in bodily injuries.

As a result of the undertaken operational and investigative measures, it has been established that the hooliganism was committed by two young men, aged 31 and 30, both from Kapan. They have been identified and presented to the Syunik regional investigative department. The relevant documentation has been forwarded to the prosecuting authority.
