Investigative Committee Responds to New Zovk's Statement
Earlier, we reported that the company "New Zovk" issued a statement regarding the searches conducted at its premises, mentioning that law enforcement officials had demanded to turn off the recording devices before the search.
To verify the circulating information, Auroranews contacted Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
He indicated that at this stage, he would not provide further details regarding the actions being conducted by the investigative body. In response to a question about whether it is standard for law enforcement to demand that recording devices inside the store be turned off, he stated, “If the company has doubts about the legality of these actions, it can express its complaint in accordance with the established legal procedures.”
Addressing the claim that the server could have not been seized, but such actions were not taken, Abrahamyan mentioned that it was deemed appropriate to seize it, conduct the necessary operations, and that it would be returned after the completion of those tasks.
