Volodymyr Zelensky to Present New List of Weapons Needed by Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelensky will present a new list of weapons necessary for Ukraine. The document will be discussed by a group of Republican members of the U.S. Congress who visited Kyiv this week.

This was reported by CNN, citing sources. According to CNN, Mr. Zelensky's meeting with the U.S. congress members was organized in connection with the anniversary of Russian troops entering Ukraine.

During the conversation, Volodymyr Zelensky told the congress members that Ukraine needs, among other things, F-16 fighter jets and missiles with longer ranges. Zelensky added that he plans to send a new and comprehensive list of the weapons they need.

It is worth noting that in early February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky requested Western allies to transfer modern fighter jets to Kyiv. U.S. President Joe Biden refused to supply F-16s, stating that they should remain in the U.S. He later also mentioned that under the current circumstances on the battlefield, Ukraine “does not need F-16s.”
