Elon Musk Calls 2014 Ukrainian Events a Coup After 'Questionable Elections'
American businessman Elon Musk believes that a state coup occurred in Ukraine in 2014. According to him, the coup was the result of 'questionable elections'.
“These elections may have been questionable, but there is no doubt that a real coup took place,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
This comment was in response to an article by American political scientist John Mearsheimer, who argues that the responsibility for the Russo-Ukrainian military conflict lies, among other things, with the U.S. and European countries.
In contemporary Ukrainian legislation, the events of late 2013 and early 2014 are interpreted as 'mass civil protests for European integration and against the regime of Viktor Yanukovych.'
Since the summer of 2014, these events have also been referenced in documents as the 'Revolution of Dignity.'
