New Earthquake Registered in Eastern Turkey, Epicenter 52 km North of Kahramanmaraş
A magnitude 4.6 earthquake was recorded today in eastern Turkey, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 52 km north of the city of Kahramanmaraş, which has a population of approximately 376,000 people. The earthquake's hypocenter was at a depth of 5 km. There are currently no reports of casualties or destruction.
Earlier, we reported that a 5.3 magnitude earthquake was also recorded in the central Niğde province of Turkey.
