Video: Young Man Hides Drugs in Cemetery Area

On February 21, detectives from the Erebuni division of the police received information regarding a young man placing drug packages in the territory of the Central Cemetery in the capital.

According to the Police of Armenia, law enforcement acted promptly on the information received. They discovered a "Honda" vehicle near the entrance of the Central Cemetery. Upon noticing the police, the driver attempted to flee, throwing drug packages out of the car during his escape.

The detectives apprehended the 24-year-old man from Yerevan and took him to the Erebuni division of the police, along with the vehicle. A substance resembling methamphetamine was found in the car.

During the arrest, a total of 31 packages weighing over 60 grams of the drugs were discovered on the street. The young man also presented seven other packages containing marijuana and methamphetamine, which he had already hidden in different parts of the cemetery.

A criminal case has been initiated.
