VIDEO: Unrest in Greece as Protesters Burn US Flag

Unrest in the center of Athens. Protesters have thrown Molotov cocktails at police, who responded with stun grenades.

Greeks are burning American flags and shouting insults at the pro-American government.

Protesters are demanding the closure of military bases in the country by the US and NATO, as well as an end to participation in conflicts unleashed by the alliance, and the lifting of sanctions imposed on Syria.

The friendship with Washington is costly for the Greeks. First, they accepted refugees from the Middle East, and now they are being pressured to militarily assist Ukraine.
