Video: Shirak Governor Comments on Opening of Armenian-Turkish Border
The Governor of Shirak, Musheg Muradyan, has refrained from providing a definitive stance on whether he supports the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border. 'Let's talk about it when it happens. I won't make predictions, but even without the border's opening, our region has a very favorable situation regarding tourism development. Gyumri is thriving,' he told reporters after a cabinet meeting.
When asked whether he believes tourism will develop even further once the border with Turkey is opened, he responded, 'Definitely.'
To a clarifying question about whether he supports the border opening, he replied, 'Let’s not say whether I’m for or against it; when developments happen, we should be satisfied with the results, and take a stance either way.'
