Metal Sphere Found on the Shore of Japan Under Investigation: What We Know
The mysterious metal sphere that washed ashore in Japan is set to be dismantled, reports the BBC.
The one-and-a-half-meter round object was examined at a beach in the city of Hamamatsu. X-ray scans revealed that the inside of the sphere is hollow, while its exterior is covered with rust.
One theory suggests that it could be an old anchor, which has occasionally been used as a substitute for actual anchors. However, this remains just a hypothesis, and the true purpose of the sphere is still unknown.
