Video: Driver Hits 73-Year-Old Man and Flees the Scene

On February 20, around 06:30, a driver of an unknown vehicle hit a 73-year-old man on the 12th kilometer of the Yerevan-Armarvir road. The man died on the spot, while the driver fled the scene.

According to the police, after joint operational investigative measures conducted by the Criminal Police and Vagarshapat division, it was established that the incident was committed by a 70-year-old resident of Kotayk region, driving a Renault vehicle.

Hours after the incident, criminal investigators from the Vagarshapat division arrested him on Sheram Street in Yerevan and brought him to the station along with the vehicle. The man was presented to the Vagarshapat investigative division and gave a confession.
