Lawsuit Filed to Seize 337 Million Dram from Former Deputy Mayor and Associated Individual
The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted the 28th lawsuit regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin.
The Department for the Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin of the Prosecutor General's Office has submitted a request to the court to seize from former Yerevan Deputy Mayor V. N. and an associated individual for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia.
Three immovable properties located in Yerevan are sought to be confiscated, or, if that is not possible, their average market values, which total more than 309 million 750 thousand drams, one movable property, and rental payments received from the immovable properties until the actual execution of the court decision.
The claim also includes 19 million 786 thousand 303 drams as the residual of illegal income and assets, along with 8 million 258 thousand 347 drams which is attributed to having originated illegally and cannot be substantiated by the individual's legal incomes from 2013 to 2022, having been transferred to a bona fide acquirer or unidentifiable and therefore subject to confiscation based on the regulations of Article 20, Part 4 of the Law on the Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin of the Republic of Armenia.
