My father's family fled from Turkey during the Armenian Genocide, and my mother was an undocumented immigrant, wrote Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, in a commentary on his Instagram post regarding his interview with Forbes.
“For the first time, when I left Reddit in 2010 (I was 27 years old), I volunteered for 4 months in Armenia for kiva.org. I needed to find meaning, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made in my career,” he stated in the description of his Instagram post.
