VIDEO. ‘They say go apologize... I ask you, give ammunition to my soldiers.’ Prigozhin
The founder of the private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has accused Russia's Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov of actions aimed at depriving Wagner of ammunition and destabilizing the organization.
“The Chief of the General Staff and the Defense Minister issue orders to deprive Wagner of ammunition and air transport, prohibiting sappers from receiving shovels so they cannot dig. This is equivalent to treason,” Prigozhin stated.
Since the start of the war, he has gained significant public recognition as Wagner troops participate in combat operations, currently stationed at the Bakhmut front.
Prigozhin has also recruited a large number of inmates serving sentences for serious crimes, who, according to Ukrainian sources, are “now dying by the thousands.” He regularly criticizes high-ranking Russian military officials, and his statements sometimes receive support from Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
Additionally, he released a recording yesterday in which he notably said, “They say go apologize, submit. To whom should I apologize, to whom should I submit… I only ask, give ammunition to my soldiers,” Prigozhin emphasized.
