Calling Reserve Service Members for Training Gatherings in Artsakh as Necessary

The Permanent Commission on Defense, Security, and Law Enforcement of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh convened on February 21. This was reported by the Public Relations and Media Department of the National Assembly of Artsakh.

The agenda included the discussion of the draft law on amending the Law on "Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel," proposed by the President of the Republic of Artsakh. The draft was presented by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Artsakh, Colonel Sergey Arstamyan.

The draft proposes calling reserve service members for training gatherings as necessary. According to the draft, regular and junior officer reserve members can be called for training gatherings no more than three months within a year, while senior officer and non-commissioned reserve members (excluding high-ranking officers) can be called no more than two months within a year.

The adoption of the draft will ensure the full implementation of measures related to the organization and execution of the territorial integrity and defense of the Republic of Artsakh, as well as provide citizens involved in these gatherings the opportunity to attend to their daily concerns.

The draft will be presented at the parliament's next session with a positive conclusion from the commission.
