Package Explodes in Girl's Hands in New Moscow
A package exploded in a girl's hands in New Moscow. The incident occurred on the morning of February 20, in a three-story neighborhood on Troitsky 2nd Emerald Street. Neighbors discovered a shoebox addressed to the girl and informed her about it. She eagerly opened it on the windowsill of the first floor, and at that moment, an explosion occurred.
A representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told RIA Novosti that a cosmetic aerosol exploded, which the girl had ordered by mail; however, photos from the website show that the package contained a homemade bomb made from an explosive device and two bottles of flammable liquid.
The girl suffered burns to her hands and face and was taken to the hospital. The identity of the person who delivered the package and left it near the entrance remains unknown.
