The Ministry of Defense states that these gatherings are declared to enhance the military capabilities of citizens registered in the reserve, provide professional retraining and preparation, and prepare reserve officers with higher education from among junior personnel.
"The acceptance of the decision project is due to the necessity of conducting training gatherings for reservists in the first group in order to improve the military skills of enlisted personnel, sergeants, and officers in reserve," the document states. No additional expenses will arise in the state budget of the Republic of Armenia in connection with the adoption of the decision project. The costs of the declared training gatherings will be covered by the funds allocated for this purpose in the Republic of Armenia's 2023 state budget for the Ministry of Defense.
