Lars Closed Again: What is the Condition of the Roads

The Artik-Alagyaz highway is currently experiencing patches of black ice. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult for vehicles with trailers to navigate. This information is provided by the Road Department foundation.

According to the report, all intergovernmental and national highways are open. However, regarding other roads, the National Emergency Situations Department of Armenia informs that the roads from the "Amberd" mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kary remain closed.

In the Aragats region, black ice is present on some roadways. According to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the North Ossetia crisis management center of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed to trucks.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
